Typhoon Jebi, the most powerful storm in 25 years, hit Kansai Region in early September 2018, left a trail of damage to infrastructure, ripping off roofs, temporary closure of Kansai airport, damaging bridge linked to the airport, overturning vehicles, cutting power and so on. Many businesses (including our headquater in Osaka), merchants, families have been affected.
On 21 September 2018, all passengers' facility operations at Kansai International Airport were resumed. Kansai Tourism Bereau has started a campaign to welcome you back to Kansai Japan.
